Paris 2007………………
Paris is a great city and like many cities in the World divided into areas of different cultures.
The thing about Paris is that even, shall we say, undesirable parts of the city have a certain “Chic” about them.
This image was taken whilst sitting in a café in Le Marais a really old part of the city and is simply a Jewish gentleman walking home with his shopping….but for me there is something very serene about it…
This image forms part of “The Paris Collection” available for purchase from Asford Daly Photography.
Storm Chasers…………
This year kicked off with a trip to Cornwall a part of The UK that can’t fail to impress photographers.
The trip was made particularly interesting by the extreme weather we were experiencing at the time.
During the week we had down there we decided to risk a trip to Land’s End.
On arrival things seemed calm enough….but by the time we had walked down to the famous sign we were met by the specter of a menacing snow filled cloud in the distance.
“We are in for it now!”………..the comment from the man in the Photo by the Sign booth was enough for us to make the decision to beat a hasty retreat.
By now the cloud was nearly overhead and Longships Lighthouse had been enveloped by the wall of snow coming our way.
Looking in the rear view mirror we could see this wall of snow chasing us up the road….exciting stuff.
Here we go…………………………
Daly’s Blog is here at last
Well 2010 is here and to start the new year off i thought i would get a blog going so as to give you all a little insight as to my activities.
It’s difficult to know where to start when you have both past and current work that you wish to share so i make no apologies for the slightly mixed bag of posts that are going to be coming your way this year.
Looks like a busy year ahead as we had a flying start with potentially two international wedding bookings in January and hey a magazine cover too.
As most of you photographers out there know January can be a bit of a slack month so its nice to have that lift after the post-Christmas blues.
I have decided to divide this blog into various types of posts some will be just images with a brief title and description and others will be, shall we say, reports on commissions and opinions on various happenings in the photography world.
I am always happy to have a chat with both fellow photographers, potential and existing clients so do feel free to contact me.
Right let’s get to it………!
